We are officially under a smoke advisory warning. And its supposed to get worse later this afternoon. Never been under one before. Fairbanks spent all last summer under advisory. We are supposed to stay inside and limit physical activity. Thats great especially considering today is a "Forced Fun Day" at the AMU picnic and weapons (and their families) are required by their shop to go. Yippee. I was wondering why it smelled like a camp fire in our living room this morning.

OH, and I forgot to mention my SUPER awesome news! Two years ago for Christmas, mom got me this cute red and black plaid pants. Unfortummately, my hips and but were to big to fit in them, but I kept them because they were so cute and I couldnt NOT keep them. I

I wore them to work yesterday.

Next goal, the brown suede skirt Amanda got me the same year. I LOVE that skirt and I have these strappy sandals that would go so great with it. Its all about a bunch of little goals. That is what I have discovered about myself. Its not the big goal at the end. Its raching the little ones along the way. The cute pants your mom got you. The skirt you cant wait to wear. Being able to fit into the dress you wore on the first date with your husband. Looking in the mirror and thinking, my butt looks a little smaller today. ..

We grouped them by brand so it looks better Posted by Picasa This is the rack Coco and got in the argument about because I wanted to get is cleared out so we had room for all of this stuff, and she was getting mad at me for "intruding' on her floor. He fucking forgot about my birthday. What the hell ever. he has too many things on his mind he says, to remember my birthday. And I am the bad guy. Because I expected him to know that his wife's birthday is in 4 days, I am the insensitive one. Look, I am sorry that Violat had a heart attack. I really am. I told him that I would leave work and be with him, if he needed me to be. I am the LAST person to be insensitive to a family member's health concerns. But its my birthday. I know every little fucking thing that goes on in his life. I shouldnt be surprised. He wouldnt even remember his own mother's birthday if I didnt remind him. Why am I surprised that he wouldnt remember mine? Whatever. He's all like, "i'll make it up to you..." Whatever. I dont even want you to. Dont bother. I'll just go to goddamn work. I never should have gotten it off. He probably wouldnt have even noticed till Tuesday. Whatever. I dont care. Lori is taking me out on Friday. We're taking the limo and everything. We have to do some recruiting for stylists and they are having a big beauty industry party at Call of the Wild so we are going to go. Make some connections, rub some elbows, and drink alot. Just us girls. Ralph's drivin the limo. Hell, yeah. I cant believe he didnt know it was my birthday. And then on top of it accuse me of being insensitive to his great-grandma.

Sometimes I wonder if he knows me at all...

I need a vacation. I am getting to thepoint where I am getting burnt out. Lori told me that I cannot come into the store on my vacation in August. She wont let me. Yeah, right. I have to go in there, cuz I have to show Lew and Amanda where i work. I cant decide when we should go. Since you are reading this, you can help me decide. I thought maybe on Sunday, but Lori and Ralph wont be there and I want them (you) to meet them. Maybe like on Thursday. Then we can spend the day downtown at the touristy shops and stuff. Sunday I think we should go to the Sunday Market. It's kinda fun. And probably drive around the base. I'm so excited. Oh, geez, I think Jackie is getting into something she shouldnt be. I have to go.

I am now psuedo- dual employed. I knew when Lori took over Symplique it would be only a matter of time before I was doing stuff for them too. She already has Ralph over there most of the time trying to whip them into shape, but now I am "helping" as well. Appartently the prima donnas that she has working over there dont know how to clean a toilet, or dont want to do such a "dirty" job. Hello? Do you USE the shitter? Then you help CLEAN the shitter. They dont like me very much. Not that I really care. I dont work there. It is just funny because they always looked down their snotty little nose job perfect snout at L.A. Style. It a stupid spa thing cuz we're "just a salon". Anyway, then Lori brings me in and I am telling them everything I see wrong and its like the end of the world. I'm acting kind of as a consultant. Since I dont work there or spend anytime there, I can look at it with fresh eyes. See what the client sees, and also as a professional. And that place is filthy. Ralph went into Angels room, she supposed to be a manager, and was going through her drawers and cabninets making a pile of dirt and this is a nice pile of dirt. The spa is almost a year old, it shouldnt EVER be this dirty. (And it never will be again) and keep in mind they do brazilian waxes in these rooms so its a pile of dirt and pubic hair. It was disgusting. So Ralph is just sitting on the floor by this disgusting pile of filth and I am standing in the corner observing, and Angel walks into her room. The look on her face was priceless. You wont walk into my store and find something like that. No. We clean our store with toothbrushes. (true) So there was a bit of satisfaction in seeing her be so disgusted by her own room, cuz its always everyone else, never her. Anyway, joys of the industry I guess. Gotta love it.

We went to see War of the Worlds last night and I almost cried with happiness. Not even exaggerating. There was a preview for The Loin, the Witch and the Wardrobe. That was my ASOLUTE, FAVORITE book when I was little. I have read it 52 times. I remember the day at the library when they had to put a new checkout log in the front of it because I had checked it out so many times. I've read the other books in the series but they dont compare to the first one. I am so excited. Tis is WAAAAAY past Harry Potter. I know that is almost sacreligious to say but I am So excited to go see it. I dont even have my copy up here. I dont even know where it is. Who cares. I'll go buy a new one!

The Chronicles of Narnia, by C.S. Lewis, is one of the very few sets of books that should be read three times: in childhood, early adulthood, and late in life. In brief, four children travel repeatedly to a world in which they are far more than mere children and everything is far more than it seems. Richly told, populated with fascinating characters, perfectly realized in detail of world and pacing of plot, and profoundly allegorical, the story is infused throughout with the timeless issues of good and evil, faith and hope. This boxed set edition includes all seven volumes.--This text refers to the Hardcover edition.

We realized that this was the same pose as our engagement picture. Maybe it will become a tradition. Posted by Picasa

These are our anniversary pics if you havent already seen them Posted by Picasa

Awwww. Posted by Picasa
Just thought I would give a little update. Nothing really new going on. Matthew switched shifts again and I am working days now so The extent of seeing each other is Saturdays and those times when I wake uo and he is asleep and then when he comes home and I am asleep. I dont know how mom and dad have done this for so long.

Our camping trip was fun. The 3.5 mile hike to get from the campground to the lake were NOT the highlight of the trip though. I thought i did really good on the hike to the lake. I kept up pretty well and I only had to stop a couple of times. Everytime there was a hill I would just tell myself, "Size ten Pants, Size ten pants" That was pretty good motivation. Plus the fact that when ever you stopped you goty eaten by the mosquitos. It was a good fishing trip though. Smith kept saying that he just wanted me to catch a fish, since this is the first time I actually agreed to fish with them. I got my license and everything. All I could catch were weeds though. I would cast out and my line would get stuck so I would have to yank it free. It got stuck once and I yankerd it free and then it got stuck again so I yanked it free again and it got stuck again and I could figure out WHAT i was stuck on so I reeled in the line and I had a fish!!! I didnt even know it. I'm all screamin, "aH, i GOT A FISH! i GOT A FISH!" Smith's like well, we wont catch anymore over here, you just scared them all away, but I didnt care. So then came the hike back and I was dead. We went about 50 ft and I wanted to die already. Matt's all speeding along cuz of his steriods and Smith stayed with me so I wouldnt be alone. Unfortunately, he is also carrying all the water in his backpack. We encounter these people along the trail, and they are like "You must be the friends" we asked how far ahead he was and they ssaid like ten minutes. Matt walked that trail in 45 minutes. He met us with water. I neve rloved him more than at that moment he appeared up over that hill with that ice cold bottle of water. At this point I had eaten about 4 mosquitos that were glued to the back of my throat because it was so dry. We had the canoe rented for two days, we didnt use it the second day. None of us could move the next day. I wish we could stay longer, but I just cant make myself poop in a hole in the ground. I cant stnd the smell long enough. NAd the mosquitos are just waiting for you to bare flesh since there are areas you really cant put 98% DEET and places you REALLY dont want a mosquito bite! Plus sometimes you just really need a shower!

I wish I had pictures but I deleted them off my camera after I printed them and forgot to download them! What a spaz.

Anyway, that is about all. For now anyway.
